Hotel Luna Salada is a salt masterpiece. As far as I could tell, almost everything was made out of salt. The notable exceptions being furnishings, doors, and possibly roof. Loved the decor! Just look at the colourful rugs and cheery cushions strewn everywhere. AND, there was wifi in the common areas right outside the rooms.
Our room. It was so pretty. Oh, but salt gets on the rugs quite easily so bring along a pair of slippers.
There weren’t any shops or buildings nearby. Had hoped to do a spot of souvenir shopping as we were dropped off at the hotel rather early (around 4:30pm). Guess not. On the bright side, we were able to catch the sunset.

Dinner was a total bust though. Being stuck at the hotel, the only option available was the buffet dinner offered by the in-house restaurant. The food was, underwhelming. Should have gone with cup noodles (but there was no kettle in the room).

After dinner, it was straight to bed as we had an early wake-up call of 4am the next morning for our long drive back to San Pedro Atacama.
