Hello everyone,
It is a balmy -12°c here in Rovaniemi. It isn’t Christmas time but it sure feels like it. This is the home of Santa Claus. We just met him actually (beard and all). He was so sweet, just like any regular jolly grandpa.
This is the arctic circle line. Only the indoor markings are visible as the outdoor portions are completely covered in snow.
We went for a reindeer sleigh ride earlier. I’ll admit that it was a total tourist-trap but we couldn’t resist. The snow-clad forest against the bright blue sky was really beautiful.
Before we left, we had lunch at the café next to Santa Claus’s office. Food at touristy places is rarely good but the Santa Claus burger was surprisingly yummy. Thumbs up!
